Discussion In our current study, we demonstrated that both the metastatic and recurrent ovarian cancer tissues expressed lower levels of p62 when compared with the patient-matched primary tumor samples. High Mouse iPSC Chemical Reprogramming Cocktails Kit levels of p62 were associated with long

Results and discussion Conclusion In summary, a series of indazole-based derivatives were synthesized and SAR studies conducted, with view to the development of a novel Aurora kinases inhibitor. The carboxylic MG-132 group extending from the C-3 position of the aniline and substituted groups

In clinical studies, BA has been reported to promote dose-dependent LDL-C lowering effects of up to 30% as monotherapy, and up to an additional 24% when added in combination with stable statin therapy, or approximately 50% when combined with ezetimibe 109, 110, 111, 112. These effects were accompani

Recent studies have demonstrated significant cross-talk between XRCC1 (a key player in Etoposide excision repair (BER) and single strand break repair) and DDR [30], [31], [32]. ATM and DNA-PKcs are known to be involved in the phosphorylation of XRCC1 to promote BER [30], [31]. We have recently show

Because 5α-R2 gene is positively regulated by T and in the prostate gland (Torres et al., 2003), and our BPA-treated rats showed decreased circulating T and probably intraprostatic androgen levels, it might be responsible for the decrease of 5α-R2 expression. However, in a previous work using castr

  2024-02-23

Plasma apelin levels predict the major cardiovascular event after percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), and adverse events are higher in patients with lower plasma apelin levels [75]. Apelin and its receptor are markedly upregulated in the he

Materials and methods Results Discussion Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is the most common cause of end-stage renal disease [15], [16]. The pathogenesis of DKD is not fully understood, and there is no effective treatment. Although previous studies suggested that early lesions of DKD are foun

To date, attention has been directed towards new molecular targets in luminal phenotype (ER-positive), such as CDK4/6 and, to a lesser extent, androgen receptor (AR) pathways [8]. While the role of CDK4/6 has been elucidated and their inhibitors have shown a benefit in luminal BC, the role of AR in

  2024-02-22

Studies on both TCDD treated mice and AhR null mice have also pointed to a role of AhR in hematopoiesis [65], [66]. Singh et al. showed that AhR is a negative regulator of HSC (hematopoietic stem cell) proliferation, while deletion of AhR leads to spleen enlargement in juvenile and adult mice [67].

Here, we have used transcriptome analysis of primary neonatal rat cardiomyocytes treated with either the ETR agonist endothelin-1 or the α1-AR agonist phenylephrine to assess differences in their respective signalling networks, and further probed these differences using a panel of fluorescent resona

Sphingolipids, such as ceramides and glucosylceramides, are an important class of bioactive lipids. The levels of these lipids change as a function of adipose tissue mass and functionality, and are partially driven by cellular availability of palmitoyl-CoA. Aberrant accumulation of ceramide, glucosy

Our results using RT-PCR confirm earlier findings (Wilisch et al., 1999, Bruno et al., 2004) including the presence of both the P3A+ and P3A− isoforms of the α-subunit (Beeson et al., 1990). The lack of detection of the ε-subunit mRNAs in some thymomas, and lack of α-, β-, δ- and γ-subunit mRNAs by
