It remains unclear to what extent UCP2 and UCP3 are subject to the same acute molecular regulation as UCP1 (and the extent to which they share the same mechanism of uncoupling). Although they lack sequence homology in a matrix-localised region reportedly critical for fatty byl719 activation of UCP1

In the current investigation, we studied the effect of propofol on prostate cancer cells. Propofol is one of the most commonly used drugs in the critical care setting and for the induction of general anesthesia and moderate and deep sedation intraoperatively. Recent studies indicated that propofol e

An important observation is that this patient has been on ALK inhibitor for more than 4 years (51 months: 27 months on crizotinib+24 months on alectinib and on-going) and there was no evidence of disease progression in the central nervous system. The other potential driver mutation in this patient’s

Introduction Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by elevated levels of glucose in the blood. Type 1 diabetes is characterized by insufficient insulin production and needs a daily administration of insulin. Actually, no prevention is known for Type 1 diabetes. Type

The central problem in amnesia developing following impairment of long-term memory consolidation or reconsolidation is a question of the underlying mechanisms, whether it is caused by impairment of retrieval or memory storage mechanisms [3,8,9,[15], [16], [17], [18]]. To answer this question, severa

Besides Arg2 overexpression, our data revealed that AGEs could decrease eNOS mRNA levels, which is considered a significant cause for attenuated NO production and vasodilation. It was found recently that AGEs significantly reduce eNOS expression levels and NO bioavailability in human carotid artery
